When I was younger

One of the best songs about a murderer you’re likely to hear today.

“When I was younger, handsome-er and stronger… evil don’t look like anythin’…”

Will Sheff is a literary genius, and Westfall is one of the greatest songs ever about a murderer (along with pretty much anything off Nick Cave’s Murder Ballads and, more recently, Black River Killer by Blitzen Trapper).

Honestly, I listen to Another Radio Song or pretty much anything off Down the River of Golden Dreams and think he might be one of the greatest lyricists of our generation.

    Quite a call, I know.

I’d agree with you Karen. From John Allyn Smith Sails to Another Radio Song to Black to A Stone, the list of Will Sheff songs that are incredible is long and rich. I got lucky enough to see Okkervil at the Annandale for both shows a few years back and then at the Metro last time around. Great shows for many different reasons.

You are welcome to send music my way any time. ;)

P.S. We flew to Melbourne for ATP to see GY!BE. It was at epic level proportions of amazing.
